Kim Avery
Trustee and Chairperson
Kim Avery is a Trustee and Chairperson of the Len Reynolds Trust. Raised and based in rural North Waikato, Kim brings a deep commitment to rural communities, education, and the wellbeing of children and young people across the Waikato.
Kim completed a Master of Counselling in 2023 and currently works part-time as a school counsellor in Te Kauwhata, supporting rangatahi and whānau through her passion for youth mental health and wellbeing.
Kim has a longstanding involvement in local governance and education. She currently serves as the Presiding Member of the Waingaro School Board of Trustees having previously spent seven years on the Board of Trustees. Her work reflects the Trust’s values of manaakitanga, community connection, and promoting equitable opportunities for young people, particularly those in rural communities.
As the great niece of Ada and Len Reynolds, Kim is proud to continue their legacy of generosity, service, and commitment to making a meaningful difference in the Waikato. Kim has been a Trustee of the Len Reynolds Trust since January 2014.
